The following restoration projects have been successfully completed under my supervision:

  •  ‘Aello Beta’ 100ft Gaff Schooner, designed and built by Max Oertz in 1920 – complete rebuild
  •  ‘Marigold’ 60ft Camper & Nicholsons gaff cutter, built in 1892 – complete rebuild to Lloyds 100A1
  •  ‘Provident’ 70ft converted Brixham trawler, built 1924 – major refit and new interior layout
  •  ‘Johanna Lucretia’, 74ft topsail schooner, built 1945 – major refit and new interior layout
  •  ‘Midsummer’, 100ft steel gaff schooner – major refit and certification under MCA Code

Project Supervision

Professional supervision can be provided for all types of boatyard work, such as refits, repairs, modifications, conversions and new building. This is a valuable service for an owner, as it ensures that his interests are represented by an experienced professional acting solely on his behalf. The following major projects have been undertaken in recent years:

  • 37m Feadship steel motor yacht – Project Manager on major refit, which included hull and superstructure modifications, machinery upgrade and interior design alterations
  • 37m aluminium sailing yacht – owner’s representative during new construction
  • International Twelve Metre Class racing yacht – member of design team on Victory Syndicate America’s Cup campaign. Supervision of construction, sailing trials and modifications
